Comissioned mural for an exchange office

I painted this mural for an exchange office a few months ago in Kikinda and this is a textbook example about how this kind of works should go. From the initial meetings through development phase to the finishing touches everything went smoothly.

Dani Mladih Umetnika

I've been invited to participate in a group exhibition in National Theatre in Kikinda, curated by Attendite NGO. There were no rules, no limitations, just as I like to paint :)

Esox lucius

Ljix was nice enough to show up in Kikinda after 100 years, and even better, she didn't stopped annoying me 'til I agreed to go out painting with her so she could take these amazing photos. Here's a quick report how to have fun in the middle of the nowhere in 40C

Cinematograffiti 82

The Internet is full with graffiti movies and clips, let's see what it has to offer!

I remember the early days when we shared the 10th copy of a copy of the Style Wars on VHS tape from hand to hand like it was the biggest treasure we have, then the same thing with DVD's like Area08, Dirty Handz, Man In Black and others.
Thanks to the advancement of technology, nowadays you can't throw a virtual dead cat on the internet and not hit a graffiti related movie, and I'm trying to hand pick one particular edit each week that stands out for some reason.
I hope you enjoy these videos, and if you stumbled upon something similar, feel free to share it in comments or on my facebook page, I can't wait to see them!

Daily Graffiti

"Draw something every day" challenge
March - vector graffiti sketches

OK, enough of the portraits, let's get back to the roots with a modern twist! This month I will save some trees and go digital, painting one graffiti sketch every day. And to make things more interesting, I will paint other writers' names, mostly of people who I look up to, or who motivated, helped or inspired me in some point of my "career". As always, nothing fancy, just a quick exercize to start the creative juices flowing, one piece of art every day!

Graffiti in city centre of Subotica

I stole these photos from my friend J.S. Jáne, he took them like hundreds of years ago on a festival he invited me to paint on in Subotica. I painted beside the local big guns Mr. Clown, Droid, Born and Line amongst others, I'm sorry but can't remember all the details - hell, if Jane didn't tagged me in his album on facebook, I wouldn't even remember I participated here...

Beyond the black stump

I have no idea why I didn't uploaded this piece earlier, I guess it wasn't as interesting as the other works I painted back then... I made this quickie somewhere in the middle of nowhere, in February 2011. Yupp, weatherproof all season vandal style!

Here's the making of, less than 1h of painting layered in one .gif:

Note to myself: latex surgical gloves are not gloves in minus degree weather...

Wednesketchday 49

A few weeks ago I posted a wall from four years ago with a short story how we changed the whole concept right after we finished the production. Yesterday I stumbled upon these photos documenting the quick brainstorming and sketching process before we changed the whole story of the mural. Another example how spontaneous and different are my finished works from the loose sketches that I draw prior to actual painting...

Dino wall 1.2

Four years ago Enzo and I painted a wall for a never released documentary, and I said we will release the remixed, finished wall with updated characters "soon". I found the photos few days ago and realized that never happened, and thought it's better late than never, so here they are...

The original production:

And after a short brainstorming and a hit of a magic stick:
