They call us vandals

Yesterday was a big day! :)

With this monument cleaning action the Power Of Imagination festival is officially open! Center of creative ideas "Creativia" organized this event, where twenty-something volunteers cleaned the remains of the monument for the victims of WWII in Kikinda.

The politicians, police and journalists like to talk sh*t about the "graffiti" problem and this monument is often used as an example for careless graffiti writers who destroy everything in their sight. Well, it's true that the marble surfaces were covered with shitty tags and scribbles, but none of them were done by actual artists but stupid kids who doesn't have any respect for their city. This problem was solved yesterday and thanks to all who helped us to wash them away. Now, I'm curious when will the authorities find a way to restore the original bronze sculptures that were stolen years ago and noone did a thing?! ;)

This is how the monument looked like 20-30 years ago....

....and it's condition 'til saturday, 21st august.

Some random action shots:

Now that the dirty part is over, we can focus on more creative and colorful actions! Stay tuned, details coming soon!
