Daily Skull 08

I'm experimenting with different materials and techniques while sketching, then transforming the drawing on paper to a vector illustration in Ai. To have some reference point between the various styles and techniques, I have chosen a fix theme, a human skull.

Since this is just a little daily warm-up practice, I don't intend to over-complicate things, the time limit to these side projects is max. 15 minutes.

Launch of Project Park Mural

Today was a good day! Creativia Kikinda's Mobile Park project is in the finishing phase, I won't bore you with the details (of which I doesn't know almost nothing about anyways), but the part I'm involved in finally began today: wall preparation and base coat are applied with the help of young volunteers of Youth Office Kikinda.

88m2 99m2, two layers of white primer in under 2h - I should consider hiring these girls and boys for some more serious, and a bit less legal actions! :)

The show continues in few days, stay tuned for more updates, or follow me on Instagram for breaking news!

RevolutiOFF

"Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
(Albert Einstein)

Today marks the 13th anniversary of the "revolution" in Serbia. I'm sorry for going political again with the above illustration, but I had the need to express and transform my not so bright opinion to a poster about the events and their consequences: although I see some positive change since overthrowing the Milosevic dictatorship, in general nothing really changed in Serbia ever since that notorious October day: the same sh*thead politicians and their criminal organizations (read political parties) are on throne, the ones we thought are better and can bring us change (those having the word "democratic" in their name) are just the same as Sloba's crew, the economy is still under rat's ass and the World still associates us with dark age savages once they hear our country's name. I don't want to sound pessimistic and throwing out cliches, but "the rich gets richer and the poor poorer" is a reality and not an empty phase here. So, until the same old hypocrites are in charge, I don't see any chance of improvement and better life in Serbia.

The trainbus canna cross it

a "restored, modernized" Model JZ812 in Subotica

Back in high school I have spent more time on these "transportation devices" than being drunk (OK, sometimes the two things overlapped) and that's not because I was so straight edge-ish, rather because of the fact these trainbuses were so slow, unreliable and seemingly loyal to no timetable.
Luckily, I was able to avoid them for years, 'cause back in those days I've got so fed up with the Serbian Rail company (Železnice Srbije, ŽS) and their neglect towards infrastructure and vehicles in Vojvodina that I said I would rather rub my d*ck in broken glass than spend another minute (and by minutes I mean long hours on one trip) on rail.
In the meantime, ŽS restored a few trainbuses, and after years of avoiding them, I thought what the hell, let's give 'em another chance, let's see if it's true that things got better. Well, they didn't.

I read on a few design blogs and magazines about this daily challenge but I always found some excuse why I shouldn't jump on that wagon. Now, that I'm working on a new personal project, I thought I should give it a try this month to see where I'm going with it.
