Poster for Downstroy-Billog gig

I've been contacted to do a DIY style poster for a HC/metal party in Club Terrarossa, featuring Billog from Budapest, Hungary and  local badboys Downstroy;  
here's what's been made in a short timeframe and limited possibilities regarding size/format/colors:

As always, I started with a very detailed, big sketch. Or the opposite. I love these microscopic, simple doodles, it's very fast and easy to show some initial ideas and concepts for the clients.

Then I inked and scanned the final, more detailed drawing in A3 format.

I colored a part of the illustration...

... so we could have something to make a facebook event cover and profile picture.

Happy V-Day

Words can't describe how I waited for this day (to pass) and all this hype surrounding it (to fade away for another year) so I made a few posters to express my view on Valentine's Day. And by that I don't mean the real reason of celebration but what the mainstream media and the corporate machinery made it.

Let's take a closer look:
- I bet most of you reading this told or heard the 3-word-8-letters combo without any true feelings backing it up just to end up in the bedroom with your current date;
- If you're really in a committed relationship, every day is a fuckin' holiday with pink mist and blooming roses and chirping little birdies so picking one and declaring it for the day of love is a bit stupid in my opinion;
- well not in the eyes of companies that are looking to grab any chance to make a little profit by any reason let it be valentine's day, christmass or whatever you prefer. The most important thing is that you spend your earnings on stupid little gifts. Don't do it, make something, or if you're not good in crafts, sing, write a poem or buy from a local artist, neighbour or girl scouts, just make it as personal and meaningful as you can! Believe me, a little home made gift is way more better than any iDevice or expensive jewelry, and if your significant other thinks different, well, I feel sorry for you!
- and last but not least, if you don't spend a little fortune on dead flowers or there's no little heart icon by your name on your facebook profile, that doesn't mean you're worth any less. OK, maybe you are in the eyes of the sales dept. of a few companies, but hey, let that be their problem! Enjoy your life whether in you're in relationship or not, love will find you sooner or later!

And once again, this wasn't intended to hurt nobody, I have nothing against the holiday, relationships or true feelings, I'm just sick of the propaganda that I'm forced to watch, read and hear during this period, and somewhat sad that we successfully managed to turn another nice holiday into a tv shop commercial that tries to convince you how you're supposed to feel and what you're supposed to do to be acceptable.

Week Of 42 - Day Four

Day Four of Week 42 of 2013.
Sticker/poster design I did a few years ago for a street art exhibition in Hungary, a parody of a logo and tagline of TV2, a Hungarian TV channel.

Today marks the 13th anniversary of the "revolution" in Serbia. I'm sorry for going political again with the above illustration, but I had the need to express and transform my not so bright opinion to a poster about the events and their consequences: although I see some positive change since overthrowing the Milosevic dictatorship, in general nothing really changed in Serbia ever since that notorious October day: the same sh*thead politicians and their criminal organizations (read political parties) are on throne, the ones we thought are better and can bring us change (those having the word "democratic" in their name) are just the same as Sloba's crew, the economy is still under rat's ass and the World still associates us with dark age savages once they hear our country's name. I don't want to sound pessimistic and throwing out cliches, but "the rich gets richer and the poor poorer" is a reality and not an empty phase here. So, until the same old hypocrites are in charge, I don't see any chance of improvement and better life in Serbia.

Bob Marley

I did a poster and flyer design for Bob Marley's birthday party at Music Club Terrarossa in Kikinda.

Nesta Robert Marley, (6 February 1945 – 11 May 1981), more widely and commonly known as Bob Marley, was a Jamaican singer-songwriter and musician. He was the rhythm guitarist and lead singer for the ska, rocksteady and reggae bands The Wailers and Bob Marley & The Wailers. Marley remains the most widely known and revered performer of reggae music, and is credited with helping spread both Jamaican music and the Rastafari movement to a worldwide audience.

It's a tradition in Terrarossa to throw a party on Marley's birthday to celebrate his work and legacy, and it's the second time I'm responsible for the posters and flyers of this event!
