Hello My Name Is

Chillin

Still don't have time to go out and paint, so I'm trying to sketch as much as possible during pauses between the design projects. As you can see, nothing serious, just quick, loose basic letters that can be used as a guide later at the wall. I really enjoy doing them, it takes less than 10 minutes to throw up these, but I think later they will be of great help. Or at least I hope so. Can't wait to figure it out.

The fill-in came out a bit Askew-ish, and it bugs me out that I get so influenced by some fellow writers even if I don't even think about making something similar to them. I guess a lot of people are walking in the same boots, since artists such Askew are currently working on a whole another level and motivate a lot of colleagues... Maybe I should disconnect the internet or move to a deserted island for a few months to get back on track? :)

I'm working on some new bits and parts on my outlines, unfortunately I didn't had a chance to take these out on a wall since a week or so. Hopefully this weekend will be more productive than the last one... or two. Not that I didn't enjoyed every minute of them, I just can't recall every part of 'em :D

Speaking of working, I wonder who's the graphic designer who makes these prints that I regularly stumle upon in the window of a local Chinese shop?! I mean, a police guinea pig acompanied with that "punky doggy"  bullshit? Do I need to make any comments or you can come up with your own? ;)

Just a friendly recommendation for all followers who love good music: if you love these genres, happen to be in Kikinda, Serbia on 20th of August and nevertheless miss this show, you're a retard! ;) In my opinion, this is one of the best line-ups in the last few years, it's definitely worth the fuckin' expensive ticket! This graphic appears on a shitload of blogs and websites, and although I don't know who created it and why, I find it rather hateful than funny, no matter which side you're standing on: I can only imagine it's drawn either by a "hardcore" graffiti "writer", or a "professional" "artist" with academy degree... Unfortunately on global level there's a war goin' on for public space between marketing companies, traditional graffiti writers and new school street artists and muralists, and instead they all collaborate together, there's a lot of bullshitting going on:( Luckily, I find my town very tolerate towards young artists who are displaying their works on the streets (OK, except for few "officially real" artists or not-so-open minded people) whether it's sticker, stencil or graffiti art! Way to go, thanks to our supporters and good luck to the haters!

For some strange reason I didn't updated the blog with any design related works for a while, so here's an update for this section:  I've designed the logo and corporate identity (letterhead, envelope, business cards, CD/DVD label and paper case) for www.zerovic.com Internet marketing solutions. Currently we're working on some graphics and banners for the website so expect more updates soon!
